hi guys gunna get straight to the point hear

every time i lock my vw lupo 1.4 door the passenger side locks and then unlocks straight away but if you walk round and push the bar down to lock it and close it is will stay locked .. please help

Central locking microswitches are nackered due to dodgy soldering. Probably the same problem I, and everyone else seems to be having right now lol

Fix 1: Disassemble lock, remove CL mech, dismantle resolder microswitches.

Fix 2: Disassemble lock, replace CL mech with new one.

Either way it's a pain.

Absolutely. You can buy them off eBay and various places. They're about 40 quid brand new, delivered.

Don't make the mistake I did and buy a second hand one. I was stupid and figured it would fix the problem, which it did, but the new one was just as worn as the old one and has pretty much developed all of the same faults as the last one. Although it's more hit and miss than anything.
