Vinnyzf
Looks good. It also says Dual 2ohm Voice coils, which means you can wire it to a 4, or 1 ohm load. If you can find an amp which can run 400w RMS at 4, or 1 ohm, then get that amp, Make sure it's an alright name though, if you're spending that much on a sub, you're gonna want some good power going to it
vince172
make sure you build the enclosure to suit (size/sealed etc) to get the best out of it, eitherwise you may as well buy a £60 fli active!!

Never heard of the make but all seems okay. Just look around at "monoblock" amps, until you find 4ohm:400w, or 1ohm:400w. If you can find one within your budget, then go for it. It's quite hard to understand really, but generally if you know what you're looking for then you're okay. If you find one and want to check with someone, you can always PM me

vince172
Thoughts on this amp for the sub?http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/13016.htmlnot the best brand, but Christ!, lots of power for that money. top quality is only really relevant if your front components are also similar quality if that makes sense. FreshWade
yeah im getting uprated speakers and a new head unit very soon, so would the amp match up nicely with the sub that i said about earlier in the post?
manilasuperstar
Most of the 'low class' amplifier ratings on rms is not true, they overrate it for u to buy it,, just look for some decent brands,IMO..
manilasuperstar
This one, i paid a lot for this before,, u wont regret. http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3456.html

Pete91
That's the way to do it tbh. Best not buying top of the range current stuff. Best buying something a couple years old and getting it proper cheap.
Vinnyzf
Agree with Pete. Buying used stuff is always a bit risky, but with stuff like Amps, unless they're knobs who have the gain all the way up clipping it 24/7 you'll be okay. Good luck searching anyway buddy.
