mattbagshaw Posted February 22, 2013 Report Share Posted February 22, 2013 My temp gauge on the dash board sometimes works and sometimes it dont, can this have any effect on the way the engine works , seems to run better when the gauge is working.Can it have an effect on the amount of fuel getting into the engine as the pinking noise I have stopps when then gauge work.Any clues Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

On my tdi its green with a copper end, pull the u clip from under it and replace with new o ring. Sorted when I first got my arosa tdi it was gone and kept loosing boost so vagcom highlighted it. vince172 Posted March 13, 2013 Report Share Posted March 13, 2013 yeah, changed one on my 1.0ltr mpi, was juddery when cold, guess it effects the 'choke' so to speak, coz gives the ecu confusing signals. simple change, cost me about 30 from seat.
