lupo 1.0L Y reg 2001 - air filter change - do i have to disconnect rubber pipes?

Recommended Posts

Should be a simple job,I would have hoped. Have removed the two bolts but unable to lift off the filter box because there are various rubber pipes attached to it preventing this. I see that the filter box is screwed together but the screws are underneath and impossible to access without lifting off the filter box and turn it over.

Your help and advise is required here.

Many thanks

There should one on the left leading to other parts of your engine, and one of the right leading to your rocker cover, they both easily pull off and a little persuasion at the back of the filter box (pull upwards) will get it off. Hope this helps :)

That's fantastic info.

Most helpful.

I'll get that done asap.

What spark plugs you've fitted?

I've ordered NGK 30 pzfr5d 11 s from eBay.

Halfords wanted £45 for theirs.

Where do you buy your service parts?

Ever found a workshop manual?

Thanks

No problem :) I can't remember at all what spark plugs I've got, I know they were expensive though! I have a local motor spares shop that's does everything I need for a good service. The Polo 6N manual is probably the closest, I may be corrected
