RS6plusMTM
Undo and take the top of the brake reservoir first, it should push back the piston easily then.
manilasuperstar
i did that before i took th pads off,the problem is the piston is only halfway and i cant install the two pp roads.coz i don't have space..i keep rotating the piston but nothing happens,,
CasperGTI
You are compressing and turning at the same time aren't you? they don't just rotate and wind in you have to compress and turn.
DENTOUT
You are compressing and turning at the same time aren't you? they don't just rotate and wind in you have to compress and turn.Exactly! You will need a windback tool or if you dont wana buy one, you can use some grips or big pliers to rurn it and some more big grips to compress the piston back into the caliper, it wont work otherwise... GeoffD
it makes the job of pad changing much easier if you have the windback tool. there are some cheap ones available but make sure they do vw's the set i have does everything from himalayan yaks to woucestershire old spots so be careful that you make the right selection!! if you use grips indescriminately they will destroy your pistons, so be warned
