bjblyth
Hi all,I've currently got a Polo TDi (2007) due to having to do 120 miles a day commuting...But that's now stopped and I only do 30 miles a day so I'm tempted to sell the Polo and buy a Lupo GTi which I've wanted for SO long, and insurance will finally allow at the same price as I'm paying on my Polo.Just wondered if anyone can give me some good ideas of the MPG I should expect from the GTi?Thanks in advance! Silver!
Depends on driving style. Most people average around 200 miles per tank or 300 miles on a motorway (at sensible speeds).
Defcon5
With normal driving 40mpg will be a decent average.I think the most I ever got from a tankful was 360 miles, the least about 180.
bjblyth
That's great thanks for the answers. Would be really happy with 35+ mpg I think, considering the nature of the vehicle!I shall begin my search!
Piers
I can help with your search. Mines cheap so the money you save can be put towards fuel.

adesignercallednick
First I've heard of the button in the filler neck.... Do you press with the nozzle when filling up?
Silver!
It's more of a little lever than a button. On the right hand side of the filler, just inside the "mouth".Some fuel nozzles have a ridge which you can catch it with, but I tend to fill, stop, push the "button" with the nozzle, fill, stop...And on... marcyboi1
It cost around £40 till up. I get 240 miles out a tank. I believe it's 35 litre tank but I never knew about that button for the air tank. Fuel by me is about 1.29 a litre.
