Alternator / gearbox maybe??

Hey guys.

Help again please :)

I have a slight whining and vibration when speeding up / slowing down. My 1st though was alternator on its was out. I could be wrong however so I have turned to u guys for a few suggestions.

Any ideas of what It could be?

...go into a large empty space and drive in circles, first left, then right to see if the sound changes.

If the noise is worse on either side you are possibly looking at faulty wheelbearing.

Noise worse on left hand circle would point to d/s bearing and vice versa.

Hi guys, I've been having this problem. It seems worse when I'm turning right. Roundabouts are really loud. I don't know what it is, my mechanic has re done my brakes and timing belt but without success. It's driving me crazy! I would really like to know what it is. (Seat arosa 1.0 s)

It makes a noise when turning right so your mechanic changed the timing belt?

You need a new mechanic. Highly likely to be a wheel bearing

Well, the car has been to the garage 3 times about this bloody noise. I don't think he knows what the problem is. Wheel bearing gone? A serious fault or not?
