consam44
Hi guys im like really confused im thinking that the 165/50/15 are going to come off the rim? Or leak? And are 185/45/15 more practical and am i able to run that sort of tyre with no rear adjuster? And these are on a 7j lenso bsx
jamiea7x
165s are fine
DannyParanoid
I've got 165/50/15's on my lensos and they're fine!
consam44
What about cornering and stuff and loss of air? Ever worried about them coming of like?
consam44
Im hearing different things see an ie just put a set of 2nd hand bridgestone potenzas on and there leaking i think the bead might have been ****ed alredy though ive heard nankangs are a bateer stretch and bridgestone are a better grip? Am i right? And what psi should i run them on? There on 50 atm ha
Koop
I run my Potenzas (165/50/15 on 6.5J) at about 34 PSI. Get them resealed. One of mine leaked & I filled it with tyre weld It worked but resealing is the sensible option
Thooooom
we spoke about this on instagram consam44 haha. they wont leak, people run 165/50 on 8J daily and its okay.
DannyParanoid
Yeah mine don't leak, and they haven't popped off yet, but I keep them topped up with air
Deadmetal
What offset are the wheels?Fitting 185s under the arches should be pretty easy on 7j wheels, unless they have a silly low offset.
Koop
185/45s are more sensible tbf. And legal. Limited availability though - only Nankang do them that I know of.
Deadmetal
If the offset is anything higher than 25, you should be able to get 195/45s on, rolled arches and no problems.
consam44
There et 38 will i be able to run 185/45/15 with out any rub? No adjusters up back
Deadmetal
I've got 7j et27 out back, no adjuster, rolled arches and no problems at all with 196/54 tyres.Tyres didn't rub when they were et40 with unrolled arches, so I'm betting the 185s shouldn't be a problem. DannyParanoid
Yeah mine are offset 20 and scrubbed on 195's
Dubmuffin
I have 8j et15's going on soon, going to order 185's tomorrow because I simply don't trust that amount of stretch. I suppose it's how large your scrotum is in relavance to how small your tyres are...I have a full set of 165's too so if the 185's are too lumpy, I have a backup
ElZ 16v
Im going to be getting 165 50's on an 8j wheel is it very difficult as its a fair bit of stretch the tyre will be bridgestone potenza

Silver!
Good choice, as if you are concerned about them popping off it would always be in the back of you mind.
ElZ 16v
I do find it quite alot of stretch myself but my mate had a tyre to fit a 7j wide wheel an had it on a 10j rim without any problems And is a 165 50 meant for 5.5j or 6? Koop
Bridgestone say it's for maximum 6J.

JamesTdi
Never had a problem with a 165 on a 7k, and Ive given it some serious stick into corners! (When I had Kw's - because race Arosa)
