Hi my lupos a 2000 plate and recently ive had loads of problems fair enough its a old car but theres something seriously wrong its spluttering as if sparks or ht lead are dodgy but both have been replaced and also had my coil pack replaced a year or 2 ago and a few times now ive been driving and its just lost power and ive had my foot flat to the floor and just no reaction and then just sprung into life, another problem ive had is the engine shuddering and shaking as ive started it up but the next time its fine or it starting and stalling pretty much straight away and a few times the smell of fuel too but i put that down to possible engine flooding i just wanted to see if anyone has possibly had anything simular or know if these r common faults? I will have to take to a garage but just dont want to be ripped off or just plugged on a computer thanks guys hope u have some answers for me xmiss_vwx

Clean the throttle body out and get it realigned by someone with vagcom... Its extremely common on all lupps, worth starting there pal

I have vcds vagcom, usually if theres a lambda fault or egr fault its neither, if you have a potentiometer fault the throttle body will not reset adaptations, it cannot learn its parameters properly.

All of these lead to potential throttle body failure.

Not uncommon tbh!

I can rectify your problem very cheaply, no need for new parts unless you have a potentiometer fault code!
