karl cee
Right so i bought my self A set of,Cades eros alloy wheels for my 1999 vw lupo 1.4 16 vHere they are:they are 15" x 6.5, 100 x 4 with et 30.the issue i'm having is actually with the front wheels.when the wheels are mounted to the front they actually hang over the bell and have actually ground the pads and the inside of the wheels away. Why this is happening I don't know. it has me absolutely baffled. Measurements have been took of the pads and the discs and everything are the sizes that they should be.any advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys
karl cee
I am also aware that the wheels say et 28 however apparently all the wheels are stamped with et 28 and are then machined from there to the right et.
Koop
Posted in t'other thread but I see what you mean now, thought they were grinding on the calipers. That brake pad looks like it's been grinding on the hub, are the pads in right/the right pads?
karl cee
yeh pal everything is where it should be, the company has agreed to send out some spacers, so hopefully this fixes my problem
Silver!
You could file a 45 deg edge around the mounting face of the wheel if you don't want to run spacers, but I reckon 5mm spacers will clear that.Hope you're getting a pair from them for the rear to keep the track equal
