penfold1981
Hi, I've just bought myself a little Seat Arosa and the airbag light is on, under the seats is a wire not connected to anything, all I can assume is that the seats have been swapped for ones without airbags. I've tried searching the forum already but can find no conclusive answer, does anyone know what size resistor I need to connect to make the ECU think the airbags are connected and which wires are connected as there are three in the wiring plug, two yellow and green and one brown I think.
JoeA
You need to wire in a two amp fuse across two wires, no idea which though. Once the fuse is in place the light must then be reset with vagcom.
electricracer
you will have to plug vag com in to find the fault. its more likely to be the "clock" spring on the steering coloumn, replace with a mk3 golf one its much cheaper

hcous
Connect an 'airbag simulator'/universal resistor (find them on ebay) to the wires. Then clear the code through VAGCOM.
