itchyfeet
HiHad my 1.0MPI 2001 lupo for a month or so now and just getting on top of the important things first including changing the pedal box , new brakes , cam belt etc, I have noticed there is no sound insualtion on the bonnet, is this normal or has it been removed?Anybody got any ideas where I can get it from, I can buy the material but would be easier to get a proper one. Will get some pics up soon.thanksPaul Edited August 12, 2012 by itchyfeet

Paul
My 51-reg Lupo has sound insulation on the bonnet, but it's an SDi, so perhaps it was only fitted to the diesel models? Could be worth looking in a scrapyard for an SDi though to see if you can relieve it of what you want.
danoid
My girlfriends car is a 1.0 and loud. How much is the insulation going to help?We went to our local scrappy and had it for £5, so might get it tomoz.I'm sure it'll help, but has anyone else fitted it and noticed a difference? Pete91
I've never tried putting bonnet insulation in but for a fiver who can argue. I did however put loads of sound deadening under the seats and in the footwells and it made a huge difference
Ashh
I can't see the bonet insulation making much difference, as above more sound deadening in the cabin would have much better benefits!
danoid
Well we bought it for a fiver. It seems to off muffled the sound to be honest, so only a bit quieter. But looking at it, it now looks more expensive than just the metal and hopefully it'll give it a bit more weatherproofness in the winter months. We got it from a 1.4 petrol
