Vince
I'd ask £4500 see how you get on I've got a 2003 raven blue with heated leather with 96k on it and I wouldnt take no less than £5000 but it is 100% immaculate Cheers
Pete91
^^£5k sounds a bit steep imoOP: I probably would have said £4000(ish) maybe a bit less.
Vince
I got offered £5000 when I considered selling her but I declined as I could not find anything to compare the condition and quality! You have got to remember raven blue is rare not like silver 10 a penny!
Silver!
Raven blue is rare, 'cause no-one wanted it when they bought the cars new. Silver is common for a reason; 'cause it suits the car best!!! More seriously, I think know that the newest GTI is 7 years old, the colour is less relevant when pricing, unless of course it is concourse. If I were looking for a GTI I would be more concerned about the condition, history and mileage than the colour. Loopylove
What does it matter if raven blue wasn't the most popular colour from new....., there more sought after colours now.... You hardly see a wanted post saying "silver gti"
Silver!
...actually heard that all the raven blue GTIs were factory rejects respayed to sell.
Vince
Were did you hear that from, that's bull****, you Probly heard it from a silver Lupo owner as they can't afford a raven blue/red or grey one lol all you see for sale is silver ones, you very rarely see a raven for sale! Loopylove
You really have hate for these blue gti's.....oh well I like to be different n stand out from the others even if all raven blue gti's are "rejects" Lol
JoeA
Lol where's Lupo gangsta when you need him and his crew
Silver!
The raven blue is the best colour to cover up the panel defects. That's why it was chosen.Anthracite was also used, but less successfully.
JoeA
If its any consolation ray I believe you. Which is why I will ask, do you not advise buying an anthracite one ? Because that's what I want ha
Vince
Silver was produced for people with no opinion in life and just stick to the normal colour cause they are to scared to make a difference, borin silver bore off!
Vince
I might be stupid but if I was to buy a brand new car I'd choose my colour my spec eg heated leather and it would go on order! Not just painted and sold especially with heatedleather! If ray had a grey one he would say it about the silver ones he talks crap!
Loopylove
By the sound of things you should only ever buy silver....your in luck eBay is full of silver gti's so take ur pick ha ha ha
Pete91
The fact that it is blue doesn't add a grand+ to the asking price. Before i bought my silver gti i looked at a raven blue one and didn't think it looked as good. It also had 70,000 miles on the clock and the guy was asking for £3500. Vince
I'm not saying it adds 1000's am I all I'm saying is silver is more common (fact) and raven is rare (fact) and yes you can add a little for the rareaty of it!
Pete91
You said it was worth £4500 which over prices it by about a grand imo. The car has 100,000 on the clock ffs. P.s you sound like a right w4nker.
Pete91
Infact i take it back, maybe £500 overpriced. It's the fact that you think yours is worth so much lol
Vince
I never said it was worth that I took a deposit on mine for £5000 and had to hand the deposit back due to not being able to find a decent replacement! Thanks for the compliment pete mate really appreciate it Can I call you best mate now?? Good old pete my mate!

Vince
And when I said £4500 I said try that and see how you get on! If no luck then he should consider £4000!
JoeA
IMO they're not worth that much anymore. Look at robins gti, he listed it for less than that. Its moon silver and tidy with extras! Asking for 4500 because it's blue is stupid!
