Brad1992
any pics? they might need a file down on the center and its the offset that kills ya with alloys! hope this helps, give 'em a call
Dz1981
file down?! it sounds like the new wheels have the wrong centra bore size for VW cars
shaunsprules
Could be vauxhall fitment as I had the same problem but they will go on if you tighten the bolts up but getting them off is another ball park!!!!
lanky28
sounds like either the centre bore or the offset is the problem, offset can be sorted with spacers and depending on the centre bore spigot rings can be used
Silver!
Call RimStyle and explain your situation.Do not force them or alter them. Let the complany get it right.
megan12
thanks for the replys. i have had all 4 wheels bolted on and literally drove down the road and back but just didnt feel right at all! then i had the pads changed and just where the wheel meets the hub it hits the pad when turn the wheel, i will have to make a phone call, but is the et38 the wrong choice? joshuaar
If the wheel doesn't fit over the center bore of the wheel hub don't try and drive it as they aren't safe
megan12
If the wheel doesn't fit over the center bore of the wheel hub don't try and drive it as they aren't safethey do fit over the centre bore and sit on the spiggot ring fine they just over hang the hub a little and catch the brake pad
Fountain
as said before, ring them before you alter them anymore, complain like hell, make up stuff like youve missed a big show because of it and what ever, might get them to sort it quicker and even throw in some compensation goodies!! Silver!
So if the only issue is touching the caliper, then you can fit spacers to clear.
treblet
What size are these wheels?
adam bmx
i got some wheels from rim style and the caliper caught the rim, i emailed them and they sent 4 x 5mm spacers free of charge. still not enough so i grinded the caliper down, i strongly advise you dont do that but im poor and couldnt afford 10mm spacers haha
megan12
Grinded them down, slightly poor too lol ... fit fine now, and the bolts they provided were too long and caught the shoes! no more custom for them!
