georgen Posted June 20, 2012 Report Share Posted June 20, 2012 Amps is taken not given, so a 90 amp alt has the ability of 90amps been taken from it, but if the draw from it is 60 amps thats what it will produce. as for as bigger alt thats compatible, I dont know, but normally the higher spec of a car so more electronic goodies normally have an higher rated alt than a poverty spec, at least thats the way it used to work. if that helps.
