Kieranbolton
Hello here's a question, i picked up Shmidt modernlines lastnight, however, im traveling down to Wigan next weekend to get my coilovers fitted and Modernlines put on (i was going down to see a mate anyway) but a mate said i need to space my wheels, i kinda want to go down and get it all done at once, so what spaces is people running with 8J wheels?Cheers Kieran
ministig
You want to aim for et25 front for it to not poke too much and clear the coilover on an 8.About the same rear of not a 5mm spacer depending on your taste
Kieranbolton
My mate said put a 10mm on the front and a 15 on the back?
Kieranbolton
The alloys have a ET of 25 so would these clear the coilovers?
ministig
You don't want any spacers on the front.5mm on the back for a touch of poke.
ministig
Pretty sure et25 clears the front struts. Look for little rich's white sport, he had modernlines

jabbles21
newnesie runs modernlines. And he has no spacers, no problems with clearng the caliper or the coilover but he has had arch problems... what information is your mate using to tell you you need to space them? jamiea7x
You will not need spacers,if u do run them it'll poke like crazy which is ****!
Newnesie
yeah the fronts sit nice on mine but the rears I have had problems with. Tyre wise I would say 185/45 all round for less arch issues. But like I say depending on how low you go you will need to roll your arches. The whole spacer thing is crap and will look horrendous if you space the rear any more than 5mm. The fronts DO NOT need spacing at all IMO. Take a look through my build thread I am sure there are plenty of pics.
Newnesie
If you have any more poke than this on the front, it would look silly. This is standard offset with 185/45 tyres
