Henry won't be a show car that's for sure!

So a bit of todays progress :)

Also the interior plastics are now nearly all in so insides looking a lot more complete too!

The only issue is that the previous owner made a mess of the wiring for the head unit so it no longer works...looks like I'll need to take a trip to the breakers yard.

Henry's nearly not a project anymore!

The answer to the question 'the only lupo to been done in cancia blue' not exactly, I have seen a couple on eBay.de but it will be a first in this country.

Looks stunning!

So yesterday Henry went for his MOT...

There were a few issues getting it onto the ramp and through the MOT....The joys of being low ^_^

Unfortunately there were a few issues so he failed...however, he is being fixed this morning so hopefully the retest will go better!!

...Nearly there :)

Thanks for all the lovely comments! ^_^

Unfortunately Henry had a little accident this morning...involving fire...

It seems that the previous owner did some DIY wiring...Which left me calling 999 at about half 6 this morning!

The only plus side is that I got some dishy firemen to rescue me ;)

So the damage:

Luckily there was a layby just as Henry decided to set on fire so I managed to get the bonnet up quite fast after having a mini freakout! So I think that the paint is all okay... :sweating:

I'm obviously releaved that the damage isn't too bad but really didn't think that I'd ever have to deal with something like this...especially within the first week of driving him!

I'm going to be driving the boyfriends polo until Henry can be fixed up as Alva is out of tax and MOT :(

So I now have 2 cars, neither of which I can drive!

If anyone has a lupo tdi engine loom lying about then I'd be VERY greatful if they let me know - I'm desperate! :(

That's extreme.

Probably a bit better seeing how bad the loom is and repairing rather than trying to find a replacement.

Just chuck a few £'s at an auto electrician.

good job most of the damage is under the bonnet. Kudos on acting so fast or this could have been a disaster
