Joti
Very nice workI think it really works, good stuff mateThats not as bad as expected actually lol Cheers again (I would rather someone be honest Daddy C, so I appreciate your comments too) folks. Thing is, if this was done to say, a Mini Cooper, no-one would bat an eyelid because it's what we are used to.Sometimes people cannot embrace change because they are uncomfortable with the unfamiliar. My next mods before the Happich windows next week (which, to be honest, will probably be the final thing I do to the car) and some floor mats that I know Koop will like.......... Joti
I don't know what you meant by this, I'm all about understated me The floor mats are more "Koopy" - if there's such an adjective......... As soon as they arrive, I'll post them up.

Joti
A little stereo update today.......The IXOS cable connecting the head unit to the changer had a breakage in it, so I had bought some new QED phono leads (colour co-ordinated too!)Unfortunately the lead at 3m was too short so the car audio place used a 5m cableHowever they used VIBE Audio cable which is not the sort of stuff I'd normally be happy using - it's OK, but not a neutral cable. As I'm particular about my set up, I'm gonna have to get a 5m QED cable and get it replaced at a later date.......At least I have sound through all 4 speakers again now on CD Edited March 21, 2012 by Joti

Joti
Those 27 in a red car take me back in the past, remebering a Ferrari F1 droven by Jean Alesi! Isn't that so?Yes my friend, Alesi did indeed drive the Ferrari #27 in the early 1990sThe number was made famous by Gilles Villeneuve, who carried it on his Ferrari in 1981 and 1982. Lupogti4376
Hey bud what sort of i.c.e you got in the car ??
Joti
Hey bud what sort of i.c.e you got in the car ??Nothing OTT, just an Sony MD/tuner head unit, 10 CD autochanger and Infinity Kappa 6x9's in the back and Infinity's in the front. It doesn't need an amp as the speakers have a low impedence/high sensitivity.Old skool system with a decent sound.Car systems today are all geared around flashing lights, bluetooth, MP3 docks etc. - well all that has to be implemented in the budget they have to build it with, so you find they have poorer quality transformers, power supplies, etc. which means the sound is not as good.Another thing people skimp on is interconnects. A system is only as good as it's weakest link, so it's no good getting good quality components in, if you are gonna use cheap speaker cable and phono leads - they will rob all the detail.Personally, I would never get a sub, it's overkill. Subs are for movies, not music. If you are not interested in actually hearing the music, but just want everyone around you to hear the bass - then get a sub.Opinionated rant over
Lupogti4376
Fair point but a sub can bring good depth to music with out letting every one else no about it !
