hello you very nice people of clublupo :), basicaly i joined up a couple of months ago and havent had the time to post up on the members rides so i thought it was about time i pulled my finger out and done it, i will try and do this picture posting right as i havent done it before, im new to the vw scene and always wanted a lupo since i first started driving but due to the lack of funds and the price of lupos i couldnt afford one straight away, im now 19 and now have a steady income and a good insurence so it helps, want to start getting to some vw meet with you guys and meet some new people and see some more sights :), anyway thats about it for my life story so i will get on with the bits you want to read

I have a little yellow lupo 1.4,16v, 75bhp version that i picked up in late April this year, it had 98k on her when i picked her up and she was standard, she was also a cat d right off that had been repaired by a local garage (acording it the lady i brought it off), had service history though and i only paid £900 so to be honest i thought it wasnt that bad concidering the price of the lupos i was looking at the time, anyways heres some picture to show what shes like from the start up to what shes like now i have had my grubby hands on it :)

This is what she was like when i first got her on my drive before i got my insurence

didnt have any major problem with her when i picked her up wasent any under car rust or arch rush, was a little bit on the roof but wasnt too bad and will get it sorted soon hopefully, couple of scuff on the bumpers but i was hoping to get the bumpers smoothed so wasent worryed to bad about it,

first thing first, had too get her abit lower then she was as the body roll was doing my head in, money was abit tight at the time and i was going to attend modified nationals so i got some 60mm springs from a nice young chap on here cant remember his name but he had a nice think it was standard little blue lupo,

Had some trouble with the camber as i forgot to push to pull the struts so my wheels ended up like this,

WP_000185.jpg

Modified nationals approched fast so gave her a good clean and polish and sprayed all the badges black as you do :P, afew pictures wheni was there,

had a good time there was good fun saw some nice lupos there and the car club i went with came Second Runner-up, once we got back i new i had to crack on with the car so i removed the mud flaps and got some pressed plates then started thiking what i could do, so i booked her in to get the bumpers smoothed, i will add the pictures in a reply post as this one is getting very long lol, all your views and comments are all very welcome, i look forward to hearing from some of you, hope this members ride thread is ok and if theres any questions you want to ask then please dont hesitate to ask :)

got her booked in and she came back with a smoothed front and rear bumper that i was preety happy about, the colour was a little out but not to much that it botherd me, when that was in the body shop i got hold of a set of steelies that i beleive are scirocco steels (put me right if im wrong), also put a standard back back in the front, got it back and this is how it looked :),

have alot more but dont want to spam up the tread with all my pictures haha, started saving for my wheels in late july then was about to buy some in october and my gearbox went :(, me being me i wanted to save a little money so i went out and looked for a replacment box instead of getting it repaired, after a little searching i found a lupo box on here from a lupo that had been crashed into the drivers side door and wing, got told all it was a bent driveshaft but was all fine no other problems, picked it up for £100 and got it home, changed the bent driveshaft and fitted it, only to find once i filled it up with gearbox oil and started to use it, it started to leak gearbox oil :@, i was soooo angry but i took it on the chin and took it too a local garage to see what was happening and why it was leaking, they sayed that where the car had been crashed into, the impact had caused the driveshaft to bend which had also caused the 'DIFF' bearing to break and that was where the leak was coming from, they sayed they would have to take it out and send it to a gearbox specialist to repair it, i let it go and they came back to me the next day and said that the gearbox will need re-building because it needed a new diff bearing, pinion bearing, input bearing, and replacement of gears 1 and 2, they charged me £400 inculding labore to rebuild my box, after looking on here i found it was about and average so went ahead just for the fact that i didnt want to keep getting new boxs if they all would need re-building anyway, i have since then been saving all my money for my wheels so i havent done anything to my car apart from re-painting my badges which i am preety happy about,

thats all up intill now so i will keep you all posted on what gets done :)
