I've owned it since March 2011 and it has been an absolute joy to drive. They are so much fun and getting rarer by the day, as only 1,000 were brought into the UK. According to HowManyLeft.co.uk there are only 859 left on the roads. I bought it on 76,500 miles and have had plenty of trouble-free driving out of it. It now sits on 83,500 miles.I have spared no expense on the car which shows with the genuine parts and modifications I have bought for it since purchase. These can be proved by plenty of receipts I have for it. The car has FSH, which is backed up with plenty of receipts and the original VW service book. The cambelt was replaced at 76,000 miles, just prior to purchase.Mechanically the car is sound. Neither the engine or gearbox are modified in any way shape or form - I have focused more on the appearance and interior with subtle modifications. The car has a couple of exterior scratches but this can be expected from a motor that is almost 10 years old. There is a very slight pinpoint dent right at the front of the bonnet but it isn't really that noticeable at all. No rust can be found on the bodywork.It's washed weekly (sometimes more often) and has been machine polished and professionally waxed three times since purchase. In my opinion Moon Silver is the better shade of silver compared to Reflex Silver, which you can also buy the GTI in. Once it's clean it looks stunning, especially in the right light as you can see by the pictures.The interior is in fantastic condition. The only minor thing that lets it down is the wear on the interior door handles. This, however, is common amongst Lupos. The rest of the interior is completely spot on and looks stunning at night with the blue and red VW lighting and dials.Since purchase, I have carried out and/or paid for the following genuine parts and modifications, which were brand new at purchase:- Full professional wheel refurb in gloss black with wheel bolts, locking wheel nuts and matching black caps (£70 per wheel at The Wheel Specialist in Burton)- Falken ZE912 tyres all round (plenty of tread left)- AP coilovers- Cambridge rear lights- Front and rear discs and pads- Standard aero wiper blades- Rear glass wiper bung- Sony DSX300 headunit with full iPod control (cracking piece of kit - impresses everyone)As you can see from the list above, I have spent a lot of money on the car in the space of just a few months.Finally, there is a genuine reason for sale. I have just bought a Honda Civic Type-R which is a car I have always liked and wanted. This is the only reason for sale and had I not stumbled across a low mileage one-off example I would have kept the GTI until the end of summer 2012.I am located in Belper, Derbyshire.
