As some of you already know, I picked up a Lupo last week :) The Polo's coming off the road for winter in a few weeks so I've been looking for a cheap daily. Ideally I was after something that needed a bit of work to keep me busy and this came up for a bargain price which I couldn't say no to.

The plan is just to tidy it up and run it as a daily, so no massive plans - need to stay focused on the Polo! Thought I'd stick a thread up anyway to show my progress :)

Anyway, here he is... a 1.4s in Jazz Blue btw :P

Spent some time down at the unit today getting started on it. The interior is pretty grubby, so took it out ready for a good clean. Just need to get the wet vac down there to get it cleaned up

Thought I'd start getting the engine bay cleaned up too.

Before...with it's lovely panted bits :surprised: They look a lot worse in real life haha

I repainted the manifold cover as the shiny black wasn't doing much for me.

And the engine bay as it stands now. I've put a new engine cover on, and I've got a spare airbox and HT lead cover still to go on too. The pink can stay for now hehe. This will get changed eventually too though

The Lupo's now on the road  It passed it's MOT last week so it's now out the unit and the Polo's in :)

Just thought I'd update with what I've actually done, all of which cost a grand total of £30 haha

Finished off the engine bay with a spare air box and gloss black HT lead cover

The wiper arms were looking a bit tired..

So I gave them a lick of paint, and some new wipers

Interior cleaned up a bit. Before

After

IMG_0368-Copy.jpg

De badged and de wiperd the rear

IMG_0379-Copy.jpg

The front bumper had a few scrapes on it so I repainted it

There's still a few bits that need tidying up on the bodywork but it'll do for now!

It's also had new front brake pads and disks and the calipers painted.

And how he sits now :D

Love that stance!

:D

Thanks :D

Jazz Blue Lupo on Audi 100 trims you say...

Haha, to be honest they were just the cheapest ones on ebay at the time, there's no real effort or expense going into this car!

It's been a while so I thought I'd update with the few changes I've made.

I swapped the rear view mirror for a black one

IMG_0431-1.jpg

I put the BMC on and stole the cold air feed from the Polo so my engine bay's a bit mis matched at the minute  I will change the silicone hoses for blue ones at some point

After

IMG_0532.jpg

Started painting my vents. I've gone for graphite grey rather than the usual gloss black

I've only got one in so far as the others aren't finished. Will hopefully get those done tomorrow

I'm planning on doing the headlining in grey too, and possibly new interior if anything cheap comes up :)

And just for the hell of it, a couple of pictures I took the other week

More lows to come soon, I've got way too much ground clearance
