Recommended Posts

me and a friend were talking about high mileage cars, and he mentioned a thread on his forum (Peugeot 306 forum) to find the highest mileage car, and it turned out to be someone about to hit 400k! apparently anyway...

whats the highest mileage car anyone owns or has owned on here? doesnt have to be lupo, or even VW.

Strangley rich, when she's been serviced no oil burned untill about 3000 miles after the service she starts to use about 250ml per 1000 miles after that, but what i cant figure out is theres no smoke on startup, no smoke when its booted an no smoke or soot deposited anywhere...... it dont leak any (or more than a dribble on the casing that never hits the floor) so where the hell is it going......... i gather it must be burning it on the snide as its thinned out a bit but i'm no expert........ but she still runs smoothly & i dont believe she's lost any horses from the paddock, not had it dyno'd yet as she'd the daily.....

At that kinda mileage, it may be beneficial to chuck some 15/40 in instead of the 10/40.

Be a bit nicer to it. :)

ABF's go forever, they're awesome engines. The last great non complicated vag engine.
