cleaning mad...

I have a problem. Everytime I buy something new I go OTT and crazy on accessories. For my new gti, it seems to be on cleaning products.

This is what I've built up in a month (Halfords 2 for 3) :(.

recommended by Jon (previous owner)

  • meg's gold class shampoo and conditioner
  • meg's step 1 paint cleaner
  • meg's step 2 polish

Didn't want to order on line so continued at halfords...

  • meg's step 3 carnauba wax
  • meg's hot rims all wheel cleaner
  • meg's hot shine tyre spray

Decided that I needed something for the leather seats...

  • meg's gold class rich leather cleaner and conditioner
  • meg's ultimate protectant dash & trim restorer
  • meg's NXT Glass Cleaner

Then today I decided I want to clay, so...

  • meg's clay bar
  • meg's ultimate detailer

couldn't decide on a third so just picked up

  • meg's ultimate compound

heard good things about it...

I have a problem.

haha not particularly...

It's impossible for me not to drive past a halfords on the way home from work everyday and since (from looking around the interwebs) the only good stuff they stock is meg's and auto glym it was a toss between the 2.

then JOn recommended meg's so... stuck with them

I have some more stuff arriving this week so planning a big clean this weekend, I'm thinking -

wheel cleaner -> tyre spray -> shampoo -> Glass Cleaner -> clay + ultimate detailer -> ultimate compound -> paint cleaner -> polish -> wax

-> beer or 2 ->

leather -> dash and trim

not sure if I can last the entire session but, does that sound about right?

I'm new to this whole 'looking after your car' thing haha
