Mike_M
Could be the wiper stalk or the wiper relay.

Mike_M
Replaced my wiper stalk a few weeks ago as the rear wiper used to come on with the front when washing the windscreen............that was £15 ish from GSF and about £30 from VW.The battery has to be disconnected and then the airbag >> steering wheels >> trims etc to gain access to the stalks. The #19 relay is about £20 for the stardard one, or as I have done, changed it for the #99 which cost £25 from VW which allows you to set the intermitant wipe feature. The relays are located behind the fuse panel and are easier to access.I did sell all my stock of the #99 for £13 each inc delivery last week, but may be able to get another few this weekend if interested.
