Well from the look of it i dont think you can go lower with out fabricating the stock frame :( Hahaha Yeah thats how i like to sit just looking over the steering wheel and it feels a LOT safer :P

Im 6foot and im almost in the footwell the seats are soo low

Loads of head room? More head room than my old mk4 golf?

How are you sitting so low then?

Never had a problem with the seating position and im a leggy 3ft blonde .

Haha Lesley, you are too funny :D

You've got mk4 anni seats in yours which is why they are so low........

I wouldnt mind being able to get my gti seats lower either, im 6ft 6 and the seat is too high.

mk4 recaros are always an option as they go low

The standard seats were always a bit too high for me hence when i was getting my tt leather front seats to fit in i made it so i could slide back so far that the front backrests can rest on the back seats.

They also go nice and low so i have loads of space inside.

Hmm... May have to look into some TT seats!

Tbf the seating position in a 1.4/sport is horrid.

You sit IN a gti, and you sit ON a sport/1.4.

Pow correct :P its a horrible feeling!

I may have a go at cutting some foam away from the bottom of the seat see how that helps. I'll hollow it out a little too so you fit into the gap. I May try it tomorrow - I'll post as soon as i've one it :)

but if i've got gti seats in mine surely its the same as a gti?

I know it sounds weird, but i'm really confident it's completely different.

I don't think that just changing the seats is enough. At the risk of sounding incredibly thick I don't really like them enough to even care but maybe the floors are different?!?

I don't even think it's different because the GTi seats are more scoopy as it were, it really does feel like you sit on it rather than in it.

I feel so much safer in the GTi than i do the 1.4. I feel all exposed and nasty :P
