I have a little damp patch in the back :) in the foot well. So how do i fix this? I heard the door seals have a problem.. common fault...

Also anyone tried V power diesel? It seemed to push my motorway mpg up to around 60MPG where as I was only getting 53 mpg at best previously.

There are also a stack of threads on BriSkoda. A lot of people recommend roof & gutter sealant - the consensus is that it certainly works but I'm not sure about long-term (someone mentioned it turns mouldy). The problem with silicone is getting the door carrier dry enough in the first place so that it bonds.

Funnily enough I'm just off to take my car in to my local VAG specialist - he stripped and re-sealed one of my rear doors but I'm still getting a small amount of water ingress (you can tell the door carrier's the problem if there's water lying on top of the seal - the other possible cause of a damp rear footwell is the rear washer pipe).

I use V-Power diesel from time to time but only for its cleaning properties (don't notice any difference in power - well you wouldn't in a 130bhp :) - or MPG - if anything I get more MPG using Sainsbury's diesel).

Currently have both the Lupo Gti and the Fabia Vrs too. Strange so many people have the same two car setup. Im loving the Vrs on the big roads. Frikin awesome and the economy and extra space/capacity is amazing. The Lupo is going up for sale though unfortunately as for me at 26 its too much to maintain both and insure both. Will be getting a remap for sure. Cant wait! My very first 'sleeper'

The remap will make the car so much more. Our same platform Ibiza FR TDI has been a blast for the four years since we went to Revo. Economy can suffer if you really thrash it, but generally there is a slight improvement with the bonus that very swift in gear acceleration is available should you need it.
