Foxmanjack
I am trying to wire in a sub to my 2009 1.2 Fox and i have come to the point where i need to find a remote wire to put in the amp so that its not constantly on. My mate told me it would be either the blue and white wire or the blue wire going into the back of the head unit. Can any one confirm if it is either of these? Dave1.0Arosa
When i wired mine up, i had a single blue wire going from the headunit straight to the amp, think its a standard way of wiring it in.Look in the manual for your headunit to confirm what wire you need as wellDave Edited December 23, 2010 by Dave1.0Arosa
Mike_M
If I recall the Fox has the newer canbus system like the Polo and Golf and does not have the remote wire, hence why you can not put a newer style HU into the Lupo/similar ages VW's as they just stay permanently on and would require a custom harness too............have you got the quad lock on the back of the original headunit of ISO plugs

Thealex
You can either pull a wire from remote to power on the amp with a switch between, so you can turn it on and off as you want to..Or you can hook the remote on the amp up to the taillights
