Silver!
Sure some early MK1 Golfs came with steels and chrome hub caps. If you could find a set, you could get a similar effect.
foxy
Im sure you can buy replica's with a more normal PCD

Philplop
Nomiloo had mk1 steels with chrome hubcaps. Her car was the famous 'Pea' Lupo. Went to MartyP, then davidp, and I can't remember the current owners name, but he's fixed it all up now.

heartagram
I'm sure if you buy the VW centre cap you can find some way of making it fit some other steelies.
Lupita
gordonbrown, are you going to buy whitewall tyres or just port-a-walls? I was also thinking about buying a set of babymoon hubcaps and try to fit them to some VW steelies + set of portawalls.
gordonbrown
just the walls probably like, or just paint my tyres as they are haha
heartagram
Get white wall paint. At least when it goes a horrible yellow/brown colour you can just repaint them instead of having to buy a new set of white wall flaps.Paint £7 a tinWhite wall flaps about £40 a set.
