Why does my total pile of crap iPhone auto-correct the word 'me' to become the word 'mr' every time I f*cking type 'me'... The word 'me' is 10000000x more common than the word mr...

anyone else got any annoying predictive text problems?

p.s. It's only done this since the 4.0+ updates

I hate that it never understands "gunna", always corrects it to "Finns". Because thats more common a phrase?

To be fair, I can understand that because a ) it's spelt gonna and b ) it's not really a real word I don't think.

I have an Android phone. I use it with the phonepad, rather than the QWERTY keyboard.

It doesn't have 'if' in the dictionary. So when I type 'if' it changes it to 'id'. Very sensible. I've added 'if' to the dictionary a few times, but it always disappears after a while.

When I write '30' it corrects it to '300'.

When I try to use a plural of a word, say "Thursdays", it will first suggest "Thursdayp", then "Thursdayq", then "Thursdayr". I need to click the little 'see more' button to get to "Thursdays". Why doesn't it know that if you're adding a letter to the end of a word, chances are it's going to be an 'S'?

When I type "Hell", it will quite often change it to "Hello".

And other things like that, it will suggest words that are much longer, rather than a word that is the same length as how many letters you've typed. Like if I type "Petal", it changes it to "Retaliate".

:angry2:

Other than that it's quite a good phone.

The iPhone recognizes commonly written words, and it recognizes most words after I write them a few times. Not "gunna".

Try typing 'gonna' 10 times in a row with a space between each word. See if that fixes your problem.

I read somewhere that if you do that with any word it sets that to default.

Might fix the me --> Mr problem too.

I have a satio, no problems with predictive text because I can spell, so I just type everything.

However, refering to my sig, how can you tell someone has an Iphone? They tell you. . .

My housemate never refers to his as simply a phone anymore.
