Please help, I need more info on ITB's

I've been racing my Lupo GTI for a couple years now, and I am ready to enter a class with different regulations.

This class allows ITB's and I'd like to prepare and start collecting parts before the season starts (February or March, the schedule is not out yet)

What I have now is a mild set of Schrick cams, BMC intake, ported/polished head, Raceland headers, sport cat and a custom exhaust.

I put it on a dyno and it yielded 124whp, about a 22whp increase from stock. Not bad, but certainly not enough.

I'd like to yield the most power out of this block, preferably in the 150-160whp range(turbo/supercharger is not allowed)

Now, I've read Tigz' and LINCOLNSHIRESLUPOGTI's build thread.

There is a boatload of information in there, and I learned alot.

What I'd like to ask is (well, everything really, but I have to start with a donor car first)

Which 1.4L/1.6L head should I use?

And should I pull the ECU from the donor car to use with the standalone(probably will be using MOTEC)?
