Ben™
Aha, was just looking and looks like the styling forum is full up of me asking questions!Anyways, will using laquer on satin black give it more of a gloss look?If so how many coats should I be using? Thanks! 64 SPLIT
Yes it will. The number of coats won't matter so much as whether the lacquer is buffed n polished after it's cured.
99hjhm
Yep, using lacquer will make it go gloss. I paint things with a satin black rattle can, then get the painter at work to lacquer them, gives the same finish and protection as proper two-stage paint but is alot cheaper and easier for him to do. Philplop
So it goes really glossy? I thought it would just make it slightly shiny.Does this mean I've just wasted my money on a tin of gloss black when I have a garage full of satin black and lacquer? .Phase
nahh satin black will be a really deep dark black, whereas satin + lacquer will be a bit lighterputting fine lacquer will make it very matt still coz the lacquer won't dry flat and give a good shine
