Hi!

I recently found this great forum and thought I might post some pics of my Lupo :).

It's a 1.4 16v -00, that I bought in June 2010.

This is how it looked when I bought it:

Three days later at a Volkswagen-event in Sweden (BugRun 2010)

Then the coilovers arrived

And some new wheels

Stretch is always nice :)

These are the spacers mounted in the front (20mm each)

There are only 5mm spacers in the back, this will be changed to 20-25mm.

And this is how it looks now. 20mm spacers in front, 25mm in the back.

Cheers!

Thanks guys! Yeah I would like to get it a little lower too, but the adjuster in the rear is at the bottom plus the exhaust and chassie is reaaaally close to the ground as it is :P. I don't understand how you can drive as low as you do.

I drove this Golf mk2 before, and it was acceptable to drive in this height:

But with the Lupo it seems that the engine and chassie sits lower compared to the exterior body.

Haha, yeah you guys seem to be pretty hardcore here ^^. Awesome.

I might take the rear adjusters out, although it seems tricky using the spring compressor. I'll wait until I get the spacers on anyways. Man, I hate the "non-coilover" solution in the rear!

Have anyone here built some serious stereo in Lupos? Putting in the cables is hard work compared to other cars. I heard that the easiest way might be to have the power cable run underneath the car. What do you think?

Any tips on what to do next? I plan to do the following:

- Lower it in the front

- Add a front splitter

- De-lock the front doors

- Paint the badges matte black

And maybe paint the mirrors white.

Tack. Denna är riktigt fin med, hjulen gör sig riktigt bra! Självklart blir det bugrun, för din del med? :)

marcs: Jo jag gillar dom :). Yes, 4e eller 5e året i rad blir det. Vi ses där då! :)

Sorry guys for the Swedish :P. I finally finished with the de-locking of the front doors. Also mounted a stainless steel pipe with an open cone filter and got a really nice intake sound :)

A friend of mine found a turbo he thought I should mount on my lupo:

A bit lower now :)

The stereo in the boot lowered it a couple of CM. The subwoofter is the same size as the rims, sound about right don't you think :).

Lowered it 15mm in front as well and painted the front emblem black.
