Looks good Amber, simple always wins :) what's the gap on the right for?

Think amber has done what I was going to do and used the boot as the sub box?

Nice work, got a lot of love for all the work done on this car :)

Guess its a slot port :)

Indeedy it is! ^_^

It's got a tuned box in, with a faceplate to cover up the nasty stuff :)

I haven't wired up the amp yet but that sits in the spare wheel well nice and snug.

Thanks, loads more to come soon now that my other project is nearing an end ^_^

Alva is simply wonderfull

Thanks! :)

So Alva ran out of MOT yesterday so is off the road now :(

It's not all bad though as she'll be getting an engine rebuild once I move house next month ^_^

I'm going to miss driving her as my daily but I really can't put anymore mile on the clock.

I'm hoping to have her ready for UD next year with a nice sprakly clean engine bay...fingers crossed!

I'm missing Alva rather a lot - think it's mainly because she looks so sad and unloved on my drive at the minute :(

Been looking through some old photos...I think I miss my tints!

Anyway, I'm FINALLY moving house next Thursday so after that Alva will be in the garage with her engine out if all goes well!

So finally a bit of an update....

Moving house put a hold on all car plans plus Christmas meant reduced funds however, I have now got sorted so its time to start on rebuilding Alva's engine :)

I cleaned out the garage and finally put Alva inside!

Also, I've finally started to finish polishing my Fondmetals

Oh and some car group posted up this picture earlier, made me happy to see Alva looking all shiny and pretty ^_^

I'll try to keep updating on the engine rebuild progress :)

Thanks.

Erm I did add it all up a while ago. I think I guessed about £450 for just the engine work, thats with all of the parts and head work.

My bills going to be a bit more though as i'm doing the brakes, the clutch, new exhaust etc :)

I figured might as well do it all whilst we're doing some major work ^_^

Hope that helps a bit!

Big thanks to my amazing boyfriend for being a great mechanic - I'd be stuffed without him!!

So I defo need to get some cleaning started now, otherwise no more progress can happen

I've got some big ideas for Alva in 2013!

Whilst the engines out I'm getting everything cleaned up, as well as replacing some bits with nice new shiny parts.

I'm painting the gearbox and engine block, plus I'm trying to think of a good design for my engine cover.

Once under the bonnets done I need to start concentrating on the outside - need to get saving pennies for my respray and finish polishing my Fondmetals!

2013 is going to be a busy year - determined to have a shiny and almost new car for in 2014!! ^_^

have you got an engine undertray? invest in one if not, doing all the work it would be a shame to get it all dirty again!

I do. Took it off ages ago but I'll be putting it back on :)

Looking forward to seeing this all back together, should be mint with those wheels agree with Sloanes absolutely mint wheels! Top choice :)

Batesy

Thanks ^_^
