I only just got around to starting one of these for my Lupo. She's a 1.4 S 75bhp. I have done a few things to it so far but only things that don't cost anything smile.gif

I brought her back in December for £2700, 52k on clock, 1 owner from new, full vw service history. 8 services in 7 years smile.gif
Good price??

Things done so far:
• Debadged back
• Dewipered
• Wind deflectors
• Fitted head unit and front door speakers
• Put a few stickers on
• Fitted universal air filter
• New bulbs and sidelights

There is still loads of things that I want to do to make it how I want it to be.
• Slam her smile.gif (not sure what coilies to get thou)
• New rims as steels are not the way forward (looking at Cades Eros 15" with 165/50s) then get the steels banded to 7" front n 8" rear smile.gif
• Smooth boot
• White roof
• Tinted headlights
• Smooth bonnet n debadge grill

If anyone else got any ideas just let me know

Here are a few pics

Be a good project for you! I'd be tempted to get Cambridge back lights too. Be good to add an amp and sub to compliment your new head unit and speakers upfront. (and obligatory sound deadening in doors etc)

Theres a good thread on here looking at coilovers that people have tried too.

Good luck!

Clutch cable snapped the other day when leavin work :(

luckily only cost £15 to fix n 10 minutes to fit new one :)

The mechanic said the clutch might be on its way out aswell, so been having a look at uprated clutch kit.

  • 2 months later...

My coilovers have arrived!!!!!!!!

AP Sportfahrwerke

Fitted them over two evenings after work.

First was the rear (Left the rear adjuster on the highest setting because had to drive to work in the morning and didnt want too much rear rake)

IMG_0105.jpg

Then did the front.

During (Think arches need a clean) sorry about blurry pic

IMG_0106.jpg

All done just needs to settle n get the alignment done

IMG_0116.jpg

IMG_0114.jpg

IMG_0111.jpg

Also took the rear adjusters out to match the front :)

Omg i cant believe how easy it was to change the whole suspension :)

think i need to lower the front down a tad more

Any thoughts so far?

Had my alignment done yesterday. Feels a million times better seeing as the steering wheel was about 30 degrees to the left and i was running 3 degree of camber on the front drivers side wheel HAHA

Ill add some more pictures soon once has settled

Just need some new wheels as selling the merc alloys now.

Also the rear door cards are back to normal

Any ideas on how to get the rear lower??

Just a little update

Thought would crack on and finially do the boot build. Was fed up of the sub n amp sliding about around the boot.

Nice and simple but sounds awsome

So happy with how it looks :)

I was fed up of rolling on rusty steels n hubcaps.

A lick of paint later and this what they turned out like.
