Looking great Stu!

Hopefully I'll actually see this in the flesh at some point once you've finished off this round of modifying.

Thankyou my man! Yes I hope so too. Aim to do some later shows this year - players & the October Santa pod.

How's things with you? ;-)

Potentially could this blow my ears with stupidly loud yet clear metallica ?

Ha Rich! It will give amazing levels of sound quality but it won't give you bleeding ears syndrome!!

The car will be set up so you can hear breaths when singing, resonance in piano, plucking of guitar strings, etc

There will be a clear soundstage so you can place instruments & singers and all instruments will sound 'real ' but it won't blow your spleen out of the car!

Be glad to demo when it's done! ;-)

Well, next installment and quite an exciting one!

Even though my build is for sound quality, as I like electronic/dance we decided to give the rear build a bit of a kick.

Obviously the rear is a bit tight on space & it was decided to fit two 10 inch subs, a processor & amp.

The next pics show the sub box. Not finished yet as they will be double skinned. It's made of birch ply as its stronger & lighter than mdf.

Now the clever bit is that it hinges to reveal the amp below

And even cleverer - another level to house the processor & fuses

All this will also be motorised for easier access. :-)

Each sentance in that last comment made this install sound more and more awesome. And **** me, IT'S MOTORISED!! XD

Can't wait to see this finished!

Cheers Pete, I can't wait till its finished too! It will have some really individual features. It is being built for sound offs but I think it should stand out with all the custom touches. You'd be very welcome to have a listen when it's done!

Cheers Piers! You would be very welcome to have a listen. Best thing is to bring music you know for a demo - more than welcome!

We are aiming at Trax in early September for the last of the year EMMA competition. If its ready then hopefully the later vw shows will be a goer!

Love the details on that mate, how the top flows with the shape of the seats and fits in on the sides. Top, top work!

Thanks Hugh! Much appreciated! Lupo gathering momentum now. Got some more progress to post in a mo! :-)
