Plug
If I wanted a 'car test review' I would go to the dealers and test drive the car myself.I want to watch a funny program about cars, not a test between two French shopping cars to see which one is most suitable for Granny to go to shops in - that's why Fifth Gear died.I take it you dont watch much fifth gear then ?Jason and tiff are drivers, and give quality reviews.Top gear is WASTE.Its that staged it makes me cringe. jcarroll
Isnt some of fifth gear merging with top gear? The producer of TG is married to Miss Butler henderson, and a few FG people are on clarksons new dvd

Philplop
Pissed myself at the slow motion crash. And the Retard button. I know it's getting more scripted by the minute, but it's still hilarious.
pro3mark
Yeah, there are some really funny bits. I'm sure that Clarkson writes most of the scripts anyway, and even he was shocked at how scripted things like Never Mind The Buzzcocks was when he was on it. scotty_82
That grade A plank from Ndubz was on recently, that seriously couldnt have been scripted , they gave him loads of ****.
pro3mark
It probably was scripted, but i don't think he can read

IDGM
I'd nominate Ford, Audi and VW for great cars. I mean great in the iconic old crap kind of way.Ford: Escort MK1 & 2 Mexico and RS2000, MK3 RS Turbo, Sierra Cosworth, Escort Cosworth, Capri.Audi: A4 (touring cars), Quattro from 80s rallying.VW: Golf (all variants), Type 1 Beetle.

IDGM
Missed the first half last night (damn BBC schedule variations). WTF was that Twingo test all about? It got totally crap in the docks with all the crashes.
cafcross
I have to agree with everything that Silver said. I watched the first one of this series, second one I watched the first 15 minutes of then couldn't be bothered with the rest, then watched the first half hour of last night's one then the girlfriend's dad and sister wanted to watch House. I'm really not bothered by it anymore, the older ones are much better.

Philplop
Smashing the Twingo didn't really seem to bother me, but the pointless smashing up is getting a bit wearisome, especially on the old cars that aren't made any more. 99hjhm
The Twingo really does remind me of a Lupo GTI, I wont compare them, as there is quite a few years between the design and technology.VW need to get their act togeather. Philplop
Yeah, I thought that too. I like the look of them. Quite C2-y too.
LiamD
I actually despise the Twingo. The Fiat 500 Abarth was way cooler!IMHO, the Lupo GTi does everything the Twingo does, similar power but less weight, nicer interior in the Lupo, and it's better looking. So much for progression eh...
Philplop
Aye, he said it was properly fast too. 8.7 seconds. Then he drives something that'll do it in 5 and says it barely moves.Of course I'd take a Lupo over a Twingo any day!
