Dynamat

Been looking into Dynamating my bootlid, and potentially the doors. Is it as simple as they say? Cutting the sheet to desired size, cleaning the surface and stick it on? I've confused as to how exactly it would stop the boot rattle?

Cheers.

Make sure you clean the surface on the inside of the doors about 10 times before sticking your dynamat down...

I did the doors on my lupo and one hot summer, it pealed and came up through the window slot stuck to the window when I wound my windows up lol.

I've only done the bootlid on the bora so far. I did intend on doing the full car this summer, but with it being off the road for so long, I've not had much chance to get round to it :(

Tried some sheets on the boot lid. Little bit of differene. Certainly seems to make the bass "crisper", if you like.

However, shall be popping down to an audio specialist near me whos quoting me up. So will probably be done over the winter, as will a interior re-trim, and wheel refurb.

A little hint: Do sound deadening in summer when the weather (and thus the panels) are hot.

Applying it to cold panels can cause it to peal :(
