Colour Codes FAQ...

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys.

I'm part way through doing a "Lupo Colour Code" guide for the FAQ section and would like a little input.

If any of you guys see a colour that I've not listed, Please let me know so that I can find the code and add it for the final version,

If anyone see's a colour that I've got the name, or even the code wrong for, let me know.

And if you see your colour, please could you check it against your "in the boot" sticker and let me know if I'm right or wrong on any of them :)

Taa muchly, Here's what I've done so far:

Here is a list of colour codes I have come across whilst working with VW's and Lupo's.

Anthracite Grey: LC7V (confirmed)

Black: L041 (confirmed)

Candy White: LB9A

Cedar Green: LK6Y

Fantasia Green: LR6A

Flash Red: LP3G

Fresco Green: LA6W

Jazz Blue: LW5Z (confirmed)

Laser Blue: LC5J

Moon Silver: LR7X

Platinum Grey: LD7X

Raven Blue: LA5W

Reflex Silver: LA7W (confirmed)

Sage Green: LA6Q

Soft Blue: LR5A

Taffeta Green: LA6N

Tornado Red: LY3D

Yellow: LD1B (confirmed)

If you want to check your colour code, It is located on a printed sticker under the carpet on the boot floor.

The sticker will look like this:

optionCodeLabel.jpg

No responsibility will be accepted by either myself or club lupo, if you paint your car with one of these colour codes and it turns out to be wrong.

It is your own responsibility to double check the colour code on your car or your owners manual

Anthracite Grey LC7V (just checked the sticker in the front of the service book). Also I'm pretty sure Dragon Green was never used on a Lupo, unless anyone else knows better.

What would make this thread a whole lot better would be if we included a pic of each colour. I've been meaning to do this for ages actually!

Give me a few mins and I will go and check my computer for some pics....

It would be better with 4 sections.

GTI Colours.

None GTI Colours.

Arosa Mk1 Colours.

Arosa mk2 Colours.

would be a pain in the ass to do that really. Some colours would be duplicated.

Jazz blue code is correct.

Thats exactly what Al is looking for, thanks!

Getting pictures of the different colours is easy but we really need people to confirm the paint codes to make it technically accurate.

I don't know much about the Arosa colours, maybe someone else could look after those???

I've been to his house!

Yellow code is spot on, but i'm not sure if that pic reflects the true Lupo Yellow, mine is quite a bit lighter. Well, most of it is lighter.

thanks dude :)

Is yours Yellow or is it Sunflower? Or is Sunflower the same as yellow?

The 2006 brochure lists Sunflower as a colour but I don't know if this is a different colour to yellow

I didn't realise they were still selling lupo's in 2006 ?

My listings say Sunflower was only used on the New

Beetle
