LiamD
Go look for pictures from German VW shows in the early 90s.Or if you want Euro-Chav look - Eu Mania.

foxy
I remeber seeing a Fiesta a few year ago at E38, it had small fat wheels, a roof rack and a rusted bonnet. It looked awesome
pro3mark
Escort Cosworth wheels look amazing on an ST, bit of a 'bandwagon' mod though (aren't they all)

It looked awesomeI love that shape Fiesta, my lasses mum has one in black. It'd be tempted to buy one if they weren't awful to drive. The seats are terrible, there dead hard and flat. IDGM
If you look on EU-Mania and UKFN there are a couple of very well done MK6 fiestas, notably Wardy's white one and a red one whose owner eludes me right now.As for wheels, 15" is really as small as the MK6 will stand, it's quite a lardy looking car. Best is a 16" and the proper Escort Cosworth rim is popular in an 8x16 et25 fitment. The Lenso BSX comes in a 16" and fits no problem if you're on a budget and want 'classic' looks. Anything along those lines is good. Smooth the front and rear fogs, de-tango the headlights if you're running a 6.5, and do the usual 'cleaning' at the rear end. You can't get a debaged grille for the Zetec/ST bumper, so you'll have to make your own. Getting rid of the bumpstrips involves filling holes and a ridge in the doors, but you're colour coded already, so don't worry there. The thing with Fords is that they are generally directed in a motorsport direction because of the brands rally heritage, something that confuses many a VAG owner and 'Euro' similarly confuses the Ford kids. Don't worry and have a go.Escort Cosworth wheels look amazing on an ST, bit of a 'bandwagon' mod though (aren't they all)VW owners are just crying out for a 'bandwagon' wheel Edited August 2, 2009 by IDGM

jcarroll
Im car...ist! I dont understand why people come to shows like E38 when they dont own a vag car. Ive driven tons and tons of cars from range rover overfinches to pugeots and vans and i think anything with a German base shows through in the quality. Sticking borbets or schmidts on a fiesta is not fair on the wheels themselves.Apologies if my opinion offends anyone, im a true believer of the 'each to their own theory' but appreciate what you have for what it is, my arosa is becoming a decreped toy but its ace, just dont pretend youve got something that you havent

foxy
That Red and the White Fiesta are very nice, they both really suit those wheels, and the less is more approach works on any car. It dont have to be VAG to have TH Lines, anyone remember the brown Saxo on them, it looked really smartDown with VAG snobs
pro3mark
Agreed with Foxy, i like them and that brown Paxo was amazing. They are ALL European after all

SEAT was a poor mans Fiat until the late 1980s. They build knock offs of VWs just like Skoda. They will never be VWs or Audis. That is not entry into the elitist world of German car ownership irrespective of where the car was built or what it is based on. You bang on about German quality; Mercedes has only just come out of the 'wilderness years', BMW and Audi have become the cock car of choice (that's more to do with the quality of the driver) and VW have produced some cars over the last few years with very questionnable designed in faults and weak components. Borbet are an OE manufacturer for Ford, Schmidt are just high end after market manufacturers in the most part and open to all....the less is more approach works on any car. The MK6 Fiesta takes to the Euro/Cleaned look particularly well probably due to its stronger lines. heartagram
I don't get why some people are so against non-VAG stuff. Its just gayness of the highest order. I think its funny that Volkswagen is meant to be the peoples car yet the people that are into them seem to think they have some kind of elitism over everyone else. Its all down to preference really, but I just don't see how people can decide a car is **** just because its not a VAG even though they know nothing about it or have ever driven one.Plus if you drive an Arosa your not really in any place to talk. As in if the Lupo was a high class call girl with all the trims an Arosa would be its uglier cheaper sister stood on a street corner
