mukilupo
HI, after much deliberation I have just fitted mk4 Recaro's using gti front seat bases, well worth the effort . Go for it. Thanks. PS thanks to Henlupo for helping me fit them and Mike M for his advice. Edited April 22, 2009 by mukilupo
Tom_B
Looking good dude. I was going to get some mk4 recaro's for my gti but have decided for something a little different. How hard were the rears to fit?
mukilupo
Thanks for the replies, i think they will fit all Lupo's might have to use GTi front bases to make work properly to get seat moving forward, back and tilt.Got rears done by HRS in Broxbourne, the only thing he could salvage from the rear bench were the blue inserts the rest of the cloth was supplied and fitted by them. As for the seats i was going to go for something different but at the end i went for the factory look. Thanks. DickyP
Nice one mate, good to see the progress. Rears look good, what are the rear headrests from?
Mike_M
Glad you got thm sorted......the GTI bases are the way forward as just grinding the original Mk4 bases never gave the same resultsJust a case of getting the bars cut off and transfered to the GTI frame
Mike_M
Did you use the Recaro or GTI plastic trims in the end?Not too keen on the headrests with Recaro, as its a bit over kill for me.......... but its not my car and will shut up Edited April 23, 2009 by Mike_M

mukilupo
Hi, The rear's were done using existing gti bases having all the orignal covers removed and replacing with new near matching black cloth. The only thing used from Mk4 rear bench were the blue inserts. Thanks.
