Yup.

Millions of internet users around the world have been affected by a major technical fault in popular search engine Google today.

The glitch meant that all search results were incorrectly flagged as potentially dangerous to the user's computer.

People who clicked on their preferred result were warned the site 'may harm your computer' and advised to pick another one.

Internet users reported problems with the Google search engine

Bloggers have reported even the United States president's and the CIA's websites were affected by the problem, which began around 9.30am ET.

The issue was reportedly fixed within an hour, but Google said it was still unclear what caused it.

'There was a fault. We don't know the nature of it yet. Everything has been solved. We are still making initial enquiries,' a Google spokesperson said.

The problem was apparently related to Google's 'Stop Badware' program, which is designed to stop internet users visiting sites that may try to install malicious software on users' computers.

StopBadware.org said its website had shut down as millions of users tried to click onto its page for more information.
