Hi,

Has anyone got experience of Allards in Gloucester/ Monmouth who offer a large replacement intercooler and remap to produce 140bhp and 280 lb/ft torque?

Does anyone know the max torque this transmission/ gearbox/ clutch this car can manage?

I would appreciate any advice.

Great forum !!

Cheers

John

No, but very interested in that biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> twisted.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />

I have heard that the standard remap of a TDi of 105bhp and 198lbs/ ft can knacker the clutch fairly quickly so I would imagine that that much power would surely shred it.

So does anyone know if the 1.4 tdi pd gearbox is the same as the gti 5 speed please?

I am second thoughts adding an intercooler as if i have to sell the car in the next couple of years i would have to remove it.

Cheers for your advice so far guys !

Is there such a thing as a lupo/ arosa track day?

bigger intercooler will give you more air cooling which should make it feel much perkier liek your driving it on a cold morning compared to a warmer day, depending on size and fuling map it can be worth `10-20bhp` just by increasing the size, there's a monster intercooler on mine about 2 square feet in area, around 700 notes though if you hole it apparently.
