Maximus300
I have a year 2000 Lupo E 1000cc, and the air filter has really got to be changed or upgraded at least, but cant seem to get to it. Is it only VW who have the proper tools for this as its driving me mad.Any help on how to get to the damn thing would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, mAx
tdwindustries
whats the problemunfortunately i ahve a gti, but the principal *might* be the same - unscrew the centre bolt (allen key, buried deep in air box) and then all screws around it.... should come off.as i say not sure its the same or similar - i do know that the 1.0 has 2 filters though, or maybe i am wrong about that too
Snoopy
You don't even need to remove the centre bolt just to replace the filter with a new one of the same type - it's just the crosshead screws around the airbox.
