MK6 GTi......Hot or Not?

I like it more instantly than I did the MK5 and the front end of the MK6 now makes sense of the design of the Scirocco.

It didn't match the range before, but obviously it was the first of the new VW image.

I fell in love with the MK5 when my hero Matt got one

I really like it, and i like the direction that the new VWs are going in. I never disliked the mk5 either, and i think VW have thankfully taken into consideration the "If it aint broke, dont fix" vibe so there hasnt been huge changes.

Its a very promising start for sure. Rumours of an "R" version?

This car is very hot! Although i think it would have been nice if they amended the design of the wheels, the design suits the line of the car, but a small change like making them slightly concave may have been a better choice.

Just noticed the black inserts in the skirts, stunning!

thats one of the bits I dislike

I much prefer the standard guise to the GTI one

not a fan of:

the wheels;the style is well past its best IMO

The badge is too big

the rear lights are also too big

and i dont like honey combe grilles

however it is striking and the interior is in another class

Love the looks so far, a nice refresh of a car that was very subtle, so a bit of tarting up was perhaps deserved.

Will wait until I see one in other colours though first.

Blue perhaps sir?

As mentionned in an older thread about the car, I like it with the exception of the continued use of the wheels, which I'm sure are subtly different to the MK5 wheels and the 'retro' and dare I say it, Chav seat material.

Dont know why this reminds me of the W12?

It's there in the bumper insert I think. I'd like to see the front fogs deleted to tidy the area up on the Mk6. BMW are moving to foglight free fronts in the M-sport models and it works well.
