Foxy's GTI- Getting Lighter

Well ive decided that im happy with it, ive done a few miles hard driving over the weekend and im happy. The tips stick out alittle too far from the bumper, but not enough to bother taking it back. Its not stupidly loud, just takes some getting used to. The car feels quicker and seems to pick up better from lower revs. Once you get over 5000rpm it is very loud, but good loud. And yes they polished the tips for me, wont take long and they will be back to normal, I hate polishing them.

And Chris, can you not read, or could you just not be bothered to read. :P:lol:

Looks good, do they know what kind of gain you get from that? power curves and stuff?

They dont specialise in VW or anything, they just make quality exhausts in stainless steel or if your a millionaire, titanium.

At the moment the only comparison I have is Payna's car, he made 141bhp and that was with a standard cat, I have a sports cat.

So at the end of November im going to the Awesome GTI Rolling Road day, once I know how much power ive got I will have a chat with them and get booked in for a re-map. Im hoping to make 150bhp after the re-map, I think its doable!

It's an AAS one. The full monty. The manifold cost £400 by itself though, not £400 all together.

Indeed, the full system was £1000

Engine next? coffee.gif

Ive just spent over £3k on handling so I think engine mods are quite out of the question for now, also the next stage in engine tuning is going to cost around £4k so if it EVER happens it wont be for a VERY long time. :(

@ Ray, sometimes you really make no sense at all........

also i wasnt sure at what point to appologise for the poor quality photo's, so i guess now will do. Sorry!!

Strangely, you're not the first person to say that.

I meant through my nonsense comment; that it looks like a boy's (big boys) wish list from Santa. I remember looking through the never, never catalogues when I was little, but youngsters most likely use the Argos catalogue.

Now I understand, but wouldnt without the explanation

Looks snazzy.

Wouldnt go fir the Wilwoods though, I had them on my old hybrid... didnt rate them at all.

We replaced the bleed nipples on both calipers twice in the space of about 8 months!!!!!!!

Dont worry, your 1 bad experience wont put me off one of the best calipers in the world

I hate your car even more now!

You gimp

:D

You love me more than words

What was your choice for v2's?

How come you didn't go for a good spring and damper set up?

Reason for the V2's is because i couldnt get a straight answer from KW about weather V3 spring rates and dampers would work on my car. So ive went a slightly cheaper route for now with the V2's and when the car and my driver skill progresses i will upgrade to the motorsport setup.

Cant alter spring and dampers to suit different road and track conditions, always go for coilovers.

Wow.. I want.

Will the 205/50's fit OK on a GTI?

205/50's I assume would scrub on standard arches, but mine have been fettled

You rich lovely person. Hahaha :shades:

Not any more, infact im overdrawn at the momnent

Foooking hell. Should have went to Bright House, would have only cost you £10 a week for the rest of your life

Should be tastey with all the new bits on it. Leaving all the showy stuff behind then?

Aye, not really been into the show thing for a while now. The whole interior will be up for sale in time.
