RobG
Hi guys recently the radio in the lupo started cracking while listening, followed the next day by NO radio, tape deck works tho.. Any ideas ? do the aerials ever fail or is it head unit ? Also if i replace the stereo how do i get the original out ? Any pointers appreciated Getting the old radio out is easy, there are two thin slots in the lower section of the face, on either side, you can either get keys from halfords/vw dealer, or improvise with a cut up credit card. slide the keys into these slots then pull out firmly but gently (I stick my fingers in the casette slot and pull). If you've aligned the keys right it'll just slide straight out. You'll be able to check see if your aerial lead's fallen off the back or not. Before you unhook the speaker/power connectors removing the head unit, make sure you've got your code handy for when you plug it back in
