wheels - 15x8

tyres - 165/50/15 Nankang NS-2's

comments - stretched to buggery, tyre fitter had doubts as to whether they'd stay on, took three of us, a cheatah air compressor and had to leave them overnight to seal onto the bottom bead.

Will dig out some better pictures when I get the internet working on my other computer again.

right guys i have got a set of 14x7 vw acessory wheels what sort of size shld i go for, and haz anyone else got these on a stretch??

Why would you bother stretching, the offset is spot on to go really low with no rubbing. These are what 40's look like tbh they are very very mildly stretched. Sorry for the crap photo's.

Stretch on a 5j?

Hmmm, do wheelbarrows run 13's?...

No chance of stretch.

Low profile wise, could go for 165/55 or 175/50.

Oh, and if you're running 13" steels, your car isn't a Sport, as they wouldn't fit over the front brakes.

oh right so definately looking like the only option is alloys, just need new tyres as almost illegal and dont have money for anything too expensive just yet.

so 165 is the lowest width you say yea?

and no its not a sport its a an E.

You can also get 155's, but they seem to have big sidewalls.

145/60/13 is the smallest I can find, they have a very slightly smaller rolling radius than 165/55's, but they're expensive. Not sure if the load rating would be too low as well.

All 1.4 Lupos are 16v. E's, S's and SE's are 75bhp. Sports are 100bhp.
