kenzie
Yeah, as heartagram said, it's down to the differences in the tyre tread/sidewall. I'll post up a pic of the stretch my Nankangs give and you can compare the difference.
heartagram
I hate the way Nankangs stretch. Just looks wrong. Bridgestone and those Michelins give a nice rounded stretch. Nankangs are J shapped, looks weird!

jon_273
wheels - 14x7tyres - 185/55/14 Federal SScomments - slight stretchThese Federals seem very chunky tyres, especially when you see the balooning they give when on the standard size 6" rim (as per OLW's pics)
Joe
How does that help then jen with two different tyre sizes on?The back wheels are .5" wider on the back and 165s would have some incredible stretch on there.

one litre wonder ;)
nice how they ask if they could use the pics eh ? ....
Philplop
He didn't.He has said that if you don't want your pictures on there then just ask and he'll take them down, but that was only posted on Wheel Whores. Although if you never went on the site you wouldn't know they were up anyway. And it's only photos of wheels and tyres, can't see why anybody would object. cardaft
right guys i have got a set of 14x7 vw acessory wheels what sort of size shld i go for, and haz anyone else got these on a stretch??If you look for jon_273s post a page back, he has (i asume) the same wheels as you with the standard 185/55/14 size, looks pretty good to me!Although for a stretch i think some people have fitted 165, have a look around for simpos lupo thread for that. Often people put on 195/45 too, i think ricoshay had those, so check his readers rides too
