gargoil
Right time has come to get new front tyres again. £75 for 205s or £47 for 195s. Is anyone running 195s on their bathursts? Is there any difference or what difference should I expect? Is it ok putting non standard size tyres on without telling the insurance ****s or should I be telling them? so many questions so little time, fun though it is sliding round in the wet!I can`t believe I only bought new front ones in January!205s......Dunlop SP Sport 2000195s......Dunlop SP Sport 2040

Snoopy
Good choice. The SP Sport 2000s are a shocking tire - barely adequate in the dry and appalling in the wet. The only reason they appear to be `half-decent` is because of the Lupo's excellent chassis.Forget throttle bodies, air filters and exhaust manifolds, putting decent tyres on the car will shave way more off your `per-mile` time through the twisties. jonnycv
My tyres still haven’t worn out yet 9k now so i still haven’t decidedwhat to do - Can you put 195/45 15's on i thought they had to be 195/50 15 because they are closest in diameter to 205/45 15 ? gargoil
U probably could fit 195/50s but the rolling radius would be slightly more than the standard 205/45s and I`d rather have the slightly smaller rolling radius of the 195/45s! tdwindustries
Hmm when will other people make 205/45/15's?

M1 Lupo
Ok then, please excuse me for asking: It it ok to fit a 195 width tyre on wheel that was designed for a 205? Is there a loss in braking power as there is less rubber in contact with the road? How would a 205 / 50 / 15 be different handling wise to a 205 / 45 / 15? gargoil
Getting them on tomorrow so I`ll let you know then!Yeah they can go on no bother, here is a guide to what size toyo tyres can go on what width rims. for some reason rim width is always stated in imperial and tyre width metric! which is annoying!http://www.toyo.co.uk/index.php?fuseaction....`t1-s`
`e-to`-`the-z`
Those Toyos are stunning to behold....if they're as good perfomance wise as those expensive stock tyres I'll be going for these instead!
