Snoopy
QUOTE(AndyW)Can 340 horse be put through the front wheels and actually be useable? I love fast cars but 340bhp in a lupo scares me silly! What outputs more outputs less! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />Obviously not going to be useable in 1st or probably 2nd, but 3rd or above in good conditions should allow you to use it all. With a LSD and a proper traction control system, there really isn't a true limit to how much power you can have - you'll be able to use it all at some speed, and below that you leave the TCS to determine how much power to output. RobinA3
i saw the owner richard filling up the car on the way back homehe lives in blackburn which is about 350miles from interswith 340bhp and a lupo petrol tank he must have filled up a few times....... Tigz™
I saw the car at inty and other than the seats and engine I thought it was *****.Really bad fitment of the kit, the wheels looked silly as they stuck out the arches, why didnt they spend some time in the bodyshop, before showing it?I think if your gonna show your car as an advert for your company, I think you should make sure it is built correctly. But that is just my opinion. Nicki
Venom project cars are always "interesting" colours - gets them noticed doesn't it! (BTW ladies - Rich from Venom... mmmmm! )Personally, I prefer the venom loop to the pvw loop but thats just me.They need to flare the rear arches a bit, the standard `non-gti` arches don't flatter the car with those wheels on it at all. Tigz™
I disagree. For one big reason.Venoms car is done. Luposi's car has only just been started. I think it will be a great looking motor once its done.I hope im right here, and the finished products is spot on! lolYour right bout the arches something needs doing to them, they look shocking! bossjohnc
As they stand, I really don't like the PVW lupo at all, and I'd have Venom's over it any day. Both need sorting though - exterior of Venom's is pretty uninspiring.
SimonJ
really? i'd never have guessed you'd take a 300bhp+ finished Lupo over a 'just started' magazine project car with a 100bhp 1.4 16v. two weeks ago my Lupo was simply on coilovers so i don't think a bad job was done in time for the show. like i told a few people at the show, the Lupo was meant to make people smile...which it did. it got great feedback from those who have been in the vw scene and was kinda built for the vw scene rather than the lupo crowd. rest assured the end result will be awesome and i reckon they teddys will be taken off in the near future. loads of alloys in the pipeline...no fear there. if you're in any doubt as to the calibre of PVW project cars...just check out project rallye from the august issue last year
Nicki
I don't dislike your lupo Si, I just prefer the venom lupo. I'm looking forward to seeing the project lupo's progression though! (& I really want a go in the venom loop!!!)@ Si - It was you that I saw on the A25 last night about 6.45 wasn't it? You were headed for Westerham, I was heading for Sevenoaks. Yellow Lupo chick
think maybe us lupo people saw it as a piss take- no offence!to me it was a really awesome car ruined, but yeh it was a laugh for people to see it! i understand that ur ogign to be developing it in to a mean machine but us lupos have enough crap without having sumone having teddie wheels n heart shaped exhaust, were grown up people! bossjohnc
Sorry man, my post sounded really snotty and harsh!!The PVW project car I didn't like as it was, 'cos it made the lupo look like a kids toy - I know that was the idea, but I love my Lupo, and I don't think of it as a kids toy!!I'm not really one to judge as I don't mod myself - I'm just giving my opinion as others have done.I do appreciate that loads of work went in to it, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next. ...superlupo...
i saw both lupo's on the sunday and to be honest the venom one is awesome... the rims, the colour, the engine, the seats, the lot... but that didn't stop me from goin over and lookin at luposi firs. why?, because it was somethin different, in fact both were.. realistically how interesting would the venom lupo look if it was black??? and this is comin from someone who owns a black lupo :!: and so si's was built for a show obviously, not to show people that lupo drivers are grown adult who just want to be treated with a little respect. :?: i think it's f$kin wicked and i'd drive it around anyday.p.s. i promise this isn't a ass lickin because i want PVW cover...............honest. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
Tigz™
Si I think your car was great, IMO it was built to get people talking about it, to keep people intrested in seeing it completed. It is certianly diffrent, and defenatly got people talking (Ive seen pics posted on Corsacrazy.com!)I guess those wheels wont be on the final prodect am I right? SimonJ
@ nickilupoyeah it was me. our office is in sevenoaks and i was just on the way home. where you from?@ tigzi'm growing to like the teddy bears...maybe i'll get them polished for gti festival or something? i very much doubt they'll be on the finsished car though@ everyone elsef**k off!!! just kidding! would it have been better if it had a pink roof and mirrors? as that's what i was thinking when i was on the way to mad wraps in bournemouth. i dont really think one motoring journalist's version of a modded lupo is going to wreck it's 'streetness'. at the end of the day i drive the car everyday and it turns head like nothing else. it's going to stay in this state i think for the rest of the summer as most of the chicks (into cars and not into cars) are feeling it. maybe just a set of spacers out back to fill out the arches a bit and we'll be there. as i'm writing this i've just reminded myself that i need something spesh for the teddys to set them off!!!
